She attended Spring Arbor University in Spring Arbor, MI, where she received her Bachelors of Arts in Psychology and Sociology in 2000. She then attended Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, MI where she received her Masters of Arts in Counseling Psychology in 2002. In 2003, she was accepted into the Clinical Psychology program at the Illinois School of Professional Psychology (ISPP) in Chicago, and she completed her American Psychological Association (APA) accredited internship at Cermak Health Services of Cook County in Chicago, IL. In 2007, she earned her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from the ISPP in Chicago, IL.

Dr. Bautista has a strong background in providing mental health services to individuals in a variety of settings, including a domestic violence shelter, a college, hospitals, correctional facilities, a state hospital, community mental health agencies and private practices. She has professional experience assessing and treating inpatient/outpatient children, adolescents and adults with mild to severe mental illnesses, including individuals with personality disorders.

In 2008, Dr. Bautista obtained her license as a Clinical Psychologist, and since then, she has been practicing in private practice settings where she treats a wide range of psychological issues. Her professional interests include providing individual and couple therapy with an emphasis on treating anxiety and mood disorders and infertility.

Dr. Bautista's treatment approach is primarily cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) with an incorporation of client-centered therapy. She is dedicated to being an attentive and active listener who will validate your thoughts and feelings. Her support and encouragement will help to instill hope and motivation to change. Her approach focuses on identifying negative/unrealistic thoughts and changing the thoughts to more positive/realistic thoughts, which in turn changes the individual's feelings and behaviors. She will work collaboratively with you in developing short and long-term goals and in identifying barriers to accomplishing and maintaining these goals.

Dr. Bautista treats adults. She accepts Aetna, Blue Cross/Blue Shield-PPO, Multiplan/PHCS and Self-Pay patients.
